I have a blog?

I have a blog?

Purely for record keeping I thought I would put down some things that are going on in our life right now.

Today I turn 34!  The day has been pretty good considering I am at work and very busy.  Recently I was given a promotion to Manager Population Health and Quality.  It suits me fine and I am learning lots.

Mike is 35 and is in his 3rd year teaching 7th grade Math at Kernersville Middle school.  It seems like he has hit his stride in his 7th year of teaching and loves the kids more and is a pretty darn good teacher.

Evelyn is 3.75 years old and is as smart as a whip.  She use big words like odor and hallux.  You only have to talk to her once about a topic and then she is spitting it back at you in the right context that amazes me each day.  She goes to part-time preschool and loves it, she is a great big sister, and enjoys playing outside, playing video games, visiting with friends.  She has been taking swim lessons all winter and she is pretty close to being able to swim on her own without floats. The best phrase to describe Evelyn comes from one of my adult friends, "Evelyn is always down for a good time."

Eliza is 15 months and awesome!  She is definitely a different kid then Evelyn but at the same time loves her big sister and tries to emulate her in all things.   She is much more tender hearted and loves to cuddle.  She has develop physically much faster than her sister and started walking at 12 months. She climbs and swings with the big kids and find humor and laughs at random things. Sometimes she comes walking into a room just giggling and it always brightens my day.  She really is my sunshine and I sing it to her every night as a I rock her.   She has few words (papa-1st one, mama, nama-grandma, daee- dad, egie-evie, puppy, apple, yeah, and thank you) but she points and grunts to what she wants as she politely rubs her chest saying please.  When you guess the right object she says, "yeah!"  Currently, she has a double ear infection and hasn't been pleasant, but can you blame her?

Mike and I love each other more everyday and often I reflect on the Lord's hand in matching us up. We truly have a deep respect for each other and get along so well.  I look forward to seeing him everyday and making fantastical plans for our future.  He is loyal and loving and some of our best times together include our nighttime pillow talk.

We are blessed and grateful!
